In the innocence of childhood, curiosity leads us all down different paths in which the wonders of life unfold. Sometimes these paths lead us to unexpected places and sometimes these paths merge with another’s and for Jessie and Jag that’s precisely where their fairytale begins…
Jessie and Jag had got to know each other through their school years. The relationship sparked into timid conversations on the phone and one day evolved into a rendezvous at a mall on Valentines Day. Jessie gathered her nerves and crossed over to the parking lot where he, just as anxiously, awaited her arrival in his blue van. Once Jessie reached Jag they spoke for several minutes and then she came up with an elaborate excuse to make a quick exit. Rationally, Jag thought he had just been rejected and that it was the end for them. In a surprise twist of events Jessie called Jag to apologize and explain how she was nervous. The truth was she hadn’t stopped thinking about how kind and caring Jag had always been towards her since that day she saw the boy in the blue van. For the last seven years it has been a relationship of memorable moments. Just when Jessie couldn’t be more content June 22nd, 2009 occurred. Jag had planned a wonderful day with Jessie at a symbolic place for the couple, Iona Beach. They walked reminiscing on their lives thus far together for 8 kilometers before they came to a stop. Jessie was gazing out at the beauty that surrounded her and turned around to find Jag down on one knee gazing at the beauty that surrounded him. Jag told Jessie how this was the place where he wanted Jessie to become his girlfriend and now, seven years later, this is the place where he wanted to ask her to be his wife. After a mixture of tears and laughter, Jessie exclaimed “Yes!” And it wasn’t over yet, Jag had arranged for Jessie to be whisked away and pampered at the Spa, he made plans for a beautiful outfit to be brought to her and just when Jessie was anticipating her perfect day had come to an end, Jag had something else up his sleeve. Jessie found a limo waiting to bring her to her last destination. Jag had orchestrated a surprise engagement party at a restaurant where the two celebrated the night away with their closest friends and family.
Almost a year later, the couple had a lavish wedding and are happier than ever! We were so happy to be a part of their celebrations and fortunate to photograph this beautiful couple. These pictures really reflect their love and we can see that the fairy tale will last for ever.
